This year’s film festival includes: the world premiere of
Going Back to Tucson: Live at Hotel Congress, a concert
movie filled to the brim with Tucson music from last year’s
Club Congress 20th anniversary event. Two documentaries making 
their Arizona premiere: SXSW fave Before The Music Dies
with interviews from Elvis Costello and Calexico, and 
Ghost on the Highway, a portrait of Gun Club front-man 
Jeffrey Lee Pierce.  Also playing is the concert film 
Valley Fever: Green On Red - Live at the Rialto, 
indie rock feature Border Radio, directed by Allison Anders
and starring John Doe and Dave Alvin (who will be performing 
at the music festival), and the return of lastyear’s inaugural film, 
the Tucson music scene documentary, High And Dry.  The festival 
will also feature shorts, music videos and more from Doo Rag, 
...Music Video?, Chris Morrison's "Bargain Town", Howe Gelb 
and many others!

A revealing glimpse into the life of former Tucsonan Chris Morrison, aka the Sloppy Guitarist, who fronted the seminal ‘80s punk band The Lonely Trojans and was later known as Bargain Town. www.csmorrison.com

One minute in a New York commute contains a collection of lasting impressions.

“Oh, What A Daisy” (Dir. Jonathan Pulley, 2005, 5 minutes) 
The song composed by David Groseclose and Jonny Pulley is a breezy walk through the street of Tucson.  This video was made while attending the University of Arizona Media Arts Department.

“She Towers Above” by Howe Gelb (Dir. Michael Toubassi, 2005, 5 minutes)
From the album Por Vida: A Tribute to Alejandro Escovedo, “She Towers Above” offers a personal and intimate look into the life of Tucson's Alt-Country godfather Howe Gelb.

“The Day I Exploded” by …Music Video? (Dir. Mike DeMattia, 2005, 4 minutes). 
This is one of the first songs written for …Music Video's forthcoming currently untitled LP.  The concept and production of the video was entirely the work of Mike DeMattia, who randomly contacted the band via Myspace. www.MDFilms.net
